TOTAL NEW SHIPS ON ORDER 25

TOTAL GROSS TONNAGE ON ORDER: 2,342,051.
As with all aspects of the cruise industry, this information is subject to change.  Current tonnage on order is down significantly to just over 2.3 million gross tons, largely due to recent deliveries and a major decline in new orders.  The most recent contracts lean heavily toward vessels over 100,000 gross tons.  As these newbuilds come on line, the cruise industry will continue to see expansion, although at a slower pace than in previous years.
