3D CAMERA

Surround sight has come to the camera. Inspired by the eye of a fly, EPFL scientists have invented a camera that can take pictures and film in 360° and reconstruct the images in 3D. Over one hundred cameras, similar to those used in mobile phones, are crowded onto a metallic hemisphere the size of an orange. Because they are so close together, their range of vision overlaps slightly. A second, miniature prototype has also been developed. It’s about the size of a golf ball and has 15 cameras.

Solar Powered Yacht

Replace the motors with solar panels, car …, the concept made its way, but not really on a boat and is the idea of the Australian Solar Sailor. For transporting passengers, cargo and pleasure boats, fuel consumption is reduced of 10% with this system!
So there are things to make substantial savings while protecting the environment. To advance the building, a wing and retractable hard-lined photovoltaic, planted on the boat gets solar energy used to power the motor.
By orienting the panel properly, you can also use the wind to move forward. It was even thought of some equip vessels of several wings to produce more energy. An idea that would be good even thrive!

Original Description
These are a selection of images from leading design and innovation company Seymourpowell of its visionary transportation concept, Aircruise – a giant, vertical airship powered by natural energy and designed to carry travellers in style and luxury.
Started as a self-generated project, Seymourpowell’s Aircruise is the concept design for a hotel in the sky, with low passenger numbers and huge internal spaces offering room for living, dining and relaxing, as well as scope for dramatic and inspirational public spaces. The initial design proposes a bar/lounge zone, four duplex apartments, a penthouse and five smaller apartments.
The concept subsequently captured the imagination of Korean giant Samsung Construction and Trading (C&T). Driven by its interest in new materials for building, Samsung C&T appointed Seymourpowell to refine the idea and produce a detailed computer animation of the proposed experience to illustrate this visionary approach to the future.

Living under earth

Earth House is a project designed by Peter Vetsch, who is particular about eco-friendly materials, creating ecological and progressive architecture. The original name of this design is Earth House Estate Lättenstrasse. This house, located in Dietikon, Switzerland, is comparing to traditional residential houses built on land designed to become part of the landscape. The concept utilizes landscape as an insulating blanket that efficiently protects from rain, low temperatures, wind or natural abrasion. Construction of the house is flexible, it can be customized according to desires of its owners, taking into account individual needs and environmentally friendly trends. Living under earth offers an exceptional experience different from living between four walls and their right angles and a chance to live closer to the nature.
